Forums - Gaming - What would you do if the PS5 and Next Box had Gamepads as default controllers?

Would you buy it? Because if you do, then the tablet isn't the reason you aren't buying the Wii U.

I would, but only after the games I want comes out exclusively! Although, I do have a wiiU so neh

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

That wouldn't be the reason why I wouldn't buy them, but I bought a Wii U and like the gamepad, so I'm not who this is directed to, clearly.

Everyone would buy it and say it's an amazing innovation and the best thing to ever happen in gaming.

Yep if the PS4 had a gamepad it would still be selling just as well. The gamepad isn't the reason that the wii u is selling badly.

Firstly the word gamepad isnt exclusively used for the WiiU gamepad, normal controllers are also called gamepads.
Secondly I would wake up =P

Edit: Seriously though I would still pick up a PS5, I mean I bought a WiiU afterall -_- I will just wait for the price to drop, something I should have done with the WiiU... which by the way still cost the same damn price as it did at launch here in Australia =P

Then what about a Touchpad?

i'd be very pissed off. the Dualshock 4 is sick and i'd hate to have to use a touch screen. I'd imagine they'd release a controller as well. If not I'd just stick with PS4 until they did.

Not entirely true. Competing gamepads will have different ergonomics, whos to say these ergonomics wouldn't be a substantial upgrade? I'll buy a Wii U. I love the games, love the platform, love Nintendo but the game pad feels uncomfortable in my hands.

I personally wouldn't buy it. I like the size of the Dualshock 4 and don't need the extra size of the gamepad. I would hope that if they do add a gamepad, that it is optional like the PS4 camera was.

I would still buy it because of 3rd party/1rst party combination. Wii u isnt appealing enough to me because of 1rst party only. I cannot sustain more than pc and 1 console at a time. The wii u simply isnt a priority. I also dont like buying their hardware as it is underpowered and would rather nintendo go 3rd party. Not buying the wii u helps with that
