There were reports of stores having ZERO Wii U's before BF even began. The places that sold them would have order a small supply. I'm sure they did sell out but when supply is so small that's not surprising.

Wii U Smash week in Japan was terrible and it's down a lot YOY. The reality is the system just isn't going to sell. My head is wrecked with all these numbers so I'm not in the mood to predict sales but it's clear the lifetime won't be very good.

The sheer numbers in themselves should tell you WiiU is not popular this holiday in the US, so why is it hard to believe it didn't do well on Black Friday?

As if the paltry $6b profits MS make each Q mean nothing!

The thing is nintendo and sony didn't price cut their console over $150 in a year so that doesn't help(especially with $80 worth of games bundled in so that makes xbox one less then 200 to make and I doubt its that cheap this early in its lifecycle. I expect it cost $380 to make so they are losing 30 dollars for each console imo.

The PR says the week of Nov. 23rd.  Using NPD dates would put that as the first day of Black Friday week, not Smash week.

But what does any of this matter to us? MS have enough money that whatever profit they make (or don't) is irrelevant. They didn't straight price cut either, they took Kinect out.

I just worry microsoft as a whole would see xbox being unprofitable and give up on it :(
