Wii U sales are terribru. On the software side and Amiibo are performing pretty well.

Looking at the historical sales numbers, you're pretty much spot on.

This is incorrect, you mixed up the software increase YoY for hardware.

as pointed out that was software but I also want to add the 3DS is heavily over tracked overall on this site. So even if they start under tracking it from now on it will take a lot of under tracking before the numbers are correct.

People were on about how Smash Bros. was gonna increase sales by a lot (respectively speaking about Wii U hardware sales). With the month of Super Mario 3D World launch, the game sold 215K vs. the 710K Smash Bros. sales, one would have expected more hardware moving (I was guilty of thinking that as well). Only a 10% increase shows that Smash Bros. just isn't as big of a console mover as many expected it to be. I think I should have added that with Mario Kart 8 released already, + the Launch of Smash Bros., Wii U only moving 240K-ish during November is a huge disaster. But of course, games like Mario Kart 8 will have an insane attach rate.
