Forums - Gaming - Another Insane PS4 Bundle (UK)

WOW, people are arguing about whether it's a good deal or not. Unbelievable.

Don't know why there's an argument. It's really not that insane.
Compare this to the American GTA5+Last of us bundle for 329.... that's 209 pounds.

There's just not much value in there. Now, if it was 399 and pick 5 games, now that would be a great deal.

This is the UK and it's an insane deal.

The PS5 Exists.

Don't care what anyone says this is a stellar deal. Amazon is THE cheapest place to buy new games and this still bests that.

They are literally giving games away with ps4, it seems. A slap in the face for everyone who bought a ps4 for the normal price.

Hilarious, except that the normal price for the console is 299

So it's actually 100 pounds more for a system that is already bundled with destiny.

Meaning that you're paying 100 pounds (157$)

to get: Fifa, watch dogs, drive club, some movie, and last of us digital.

This is not a good deal. But nice try. See you leapt at the opportunity to unfairly paint ps fans as hypocrites. :D

GOod day.

Please explain me how is it not a good deal.
Zekkyou said he went by himself and checked amazon.uk and to get all this his would need at least 480£.

it's 399. PS4 by itself in uk is 299$

Gamestop just lowered the white ps4 destiny bundle price to 299.97.
You're basically paying 100 quid for those other games. It's a good deal if you specifically wanted those exact games.
However, if you instead just buy a white ps4, and a couple games you DO want, you'd be actually saving yourself money because then you wouldn't have to seperately purchase the games you ACTUALLY wanted.

Do you understand the meaning of a "Bundle"? A bundle is essentially a starter kit, meaning that its really targeting people who havent own a PS4. This also means that most of the  games that are bundled with a system are games that they have never owned or played on the PS4. If you already owned a Ps4, why would you buy a bundle unless you want a second or third system. But if you want a second or third system, why would you buy a bundle that already have games that you already owned?

For a new PS4 adopter, this is incredibly great deal. They spend 80 quid extra and they get games that will last them for a long time.

It's a cheap price but I'm not a fan of these huge bundles. I could obviously sell all the stuff I don't want but that's just extra work^^

In this case I would be more happy about a smaller bundle where I could choose three games I really want + little PSN money instead of 5 games + a movie.

But that's obviously how it works with all these bundles for not only consoles, they know that pretty much everyone who will buy this bundle wouldn't buy everything included so that they won't lose sales they could get if they wouldn't bundle it.

80% who will buy this bundle wouldn't buy Driveclub if it wouldn't be included, 60% wouldn't buy Destiny and so on...

Again, there was already a retail bundle for 100 quid less that came with drive club and last of us.
Why buy this when you can instead get a bundle for 299 and just buy 2-3 other games of your own choice?

Again, I'm not saying it's a bad deal compared to what the price has been this year. I'm saying it's bad compared to other bundles that exist in the uk.

Think about it like this.

Say I sell hotdogs. 1 is a dollar. toppings are 40 cents each. A dog with all four toppings individually is 2.60, but a "loaded dog" special is a dog with all 4 toppings for 2.50$. Now, that's a 5% savings if you like all the toppings, but if you've never had my hotdog or toppings before, how would you know you liked it? To each their own, but I would probably just get the dog, cheese, and chili. Because I know what I like, and I'm not going to spend an extra 70 cents, even if there is a 10 cent savings in there, to get something I'm not sure I'd want.

take out the Inbetweeners and you've got yourself a deal!

insane only on the first look
not so much on the second

279 for ps4 + driveclub was the blackfriday deal
so 120 for 4 relatively old games or 30 each

the uk console war still not over yet :D

And take this for example as well. It's really not that great. It's good, but it's hardly giving away games for free. You are indeed pay almost full retail price for those games.

Well, for starters, the 299 bundle with driveclub was a Black Friday bundle and isn't in stock anywhere......

The black friday bundle was actually 279. Gamestop IS out of stock, but their deal was 299 with DC and TLoU and wasn't a BF bundle.

Say, what do you suppose retailers do when there is heavy demand and not enough supply?
I'll make it short. They create massive bundles. The same thing happened at launch, everywhere was sold out except gamestop which had ps4 for 499 with 2 games of their choice.
Yes, you save 20$, but you also could have saved 40 by simply buying the game you wanted in the first place. Retailers do this because they know that stock everywhere is limited and they make the most off of selling games. That's why large game bundles exist..to push the sales of unecessary games onto the consumer.

Whatever, I'm done here though. I'm clearly getting the feeling like u guys are getting all worked up about this. Go buy it then. I don't care, it's more sales for ps4.
