"He has said that the score for Final Fantasy IX is his favorite score out of the scores which he composed." Taken from Wikipedia, but their source was his online journal.  IMO his FFVII work doesn't even compare, and although FFVI was good, still wasn't worthy of the amazing FFIX music.

Both Uematsu and Sakaguchi (arguably the 2 men who make FF everything that it is) claim FFIX is the best of their work. Sad that it has so few fans. Such an incredible game.

 VII ok =p.  But VI?  I can't fight off VI fans it is my favourite FF game together with FFIX =p
