Forums - Nintendo - Have you ever wanted to return a Nintendo game?

Nope, I've never wanted to return a game to a shop for any reason other than I accidently bought 2 copies of it. I don't get why people would, if they don't know what the game is like that's their own fault, can't expect a refund for that.

Not always Kapi, there are instances that the game promoted are totally different for the final release, or there are so many problems with the game, just like Sonic Boom. I can agree that is our fault, since we should not pre order games or buy them at day one, before seeing the reviews.

But not everyone is like us, there are people that doesn't really look deep in these things. It's like, you go to buy an TV, and the TV have a lot of problems, it's your right to get a refund on it. This is no differente for bugged game.

A Bugged game is the only scenario I think we should get a refund. A bad game no, you just bought a bad game.

Mario Sunshine. I returned it to at the time EB games at the mall.

Other M is something I decided to keep as a lesson to myself. Otherwise it may have been the first game where I had to go to the store and demand my money back.

A couple games I wish I had never bought include Jam With the Band on DS. It's just not very interesting, in spite of the fun presentation. And Metroid Prime Trilogy, I owned all three games already, and the updated controls are NOT worth it when you factor in the horribly forced achievement system.

Surprised to see no one else putting it in here, but I returned Super Paper Mario on Wii. It's basically your guys' version of Other M to me. You take the good parts of the series out, make it into something it's not supposed to be, and then market it as a sequel. I hated Super Paper Mario. Not because it's a bad game, but because it represents Nintendo completely turning it's back on the proper turn-based JRPG Paper Mario format that are two of my absolute favorite games of all time.

Saw a few people mention Sticker Star in here. Say what you will about that game, but at least it's a) turn-based, and b) has traditional elements from the first two games in the series.  No Pit of Trials was a total bummer, though.  Totally missed opportunity.

In short, I long for a proper Paper Mario 3. Wii U is the perfect console for it. I hope it happens some day.

I would even settle for an HD remake of the first game from N64.  Make it happen, Nintendo.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

I don't know.. Super Paper Mario at least had an unique and enganging story ( by Mario standards at least)! The characters and partners were also much better in Super Paper Mario ( Navi? She was simply useless).. Battling enemies was also more important in SPM as well! It's all my opinion of course!

All the time

Edit: Most recently Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Super Smash Bros for WiiU.

Edit 2: To be fair I do this alot, buy games and then never end up playing them all that much.

So you don't really game? That's kinda funny.

I just buy a shit ton of games my friend... well considering how much I get paid. Like 80-90% of my money goes towards games

OMG! Do you not have bills?

I'm glad you didn't take that post too seriously, was just buggin. I'm thinking I'm just gonna leave you to save the video game industry :P.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

well.. a Nintendo game, never actually.
But there´s a few non-Nintendo games for Nintendo platforms that I wanted to return, like Hollywood Crimes, PES 2012 (3ds) and Legend of the Guardians (WiiU). I just didn´t because they were very cheap, but trated them anyway soon after
