MS should make this the last console they release in Japan. It can't be worth the bother anymore and the numbers are just embarrasing

Saying Japan is biased is a pretty big simplification.

If Tales, Persona, Yakuza, Dynasty Warriors, Ys, Disgaea etc etc switched to being Xbox exclusive sales would change accordingly.

It's the fault of MS that they are selling so badly. They made an effort for a few years and sales improved, but they have since abandoned even trying.

Correction.  They don't buy consoles.   The Iphone dominates Japan.  

 

Whatever the case Xbox will never do well in Japan.  Why spend the money to do so.  They learned their lesson with the 360.

Certain users would love to say ps4 is doing twice as bad than WiiU but wouldn't like to say X1 is doing 20x worse.

Sales never improved. MS invested in 2 first party IPs (JRPGs) and got bunch of exclusive 3rd party exclusives like Ace Combat 6 but never got supported properly.

Most Japanese publishers simply don't want anything to do with Xbox and the Western gamers. If funding is what they wanted, you know it wouldn't be a problem for MS.

Americans are biased... but not based on what country a product comes from. They are biased towards price/quality.

This must be the reason some bought 6 x360 during 3Rod incident.
