Microsoft was missing from The Game Awards 2014 event where Sony had a small presence and teased some games. However, Sony’s own event–PlayStation Experience–had a lot of reveals including an announcement that Street Fighter 5 will be console exclusive to the PS4.
Street Fighter 5 PS4/PC exclusivity hasn’t gone down too well with some Xbox fans but Phil Spencer, Xbox boss, has revealed that business deals do happen and since they already had a 1st party franchise in the genre, he didn’t think it was wise for them to do the same.

@XboxP3 What did you think of street fighter 5 being an exclusive to PS4/PC? Is there any hope of it coming to xbox one in the near future?
@CapitanoCasella Business deals happen. We won't do all of them. When we have a 1st party franchise in a genre I'd rather invest in ours.
@XboxP3 @CapitanoCasella Deals like Dead Rising 3 from time to time are fine but a new Ip that you own is better for the future of Xbox
He also praised the PlayStation Experience event and said that he watched it and thought it was “well done”. He also feels really good about 2015 for Xbox. He also believes that 2015 will be fun year for Xbox fans.

Playstation are killing it yet not a single thing about Xbox.. I think I brought the wrong one! @XboxP3
@leedaviebohan PSX was a nice event, good way for Sony to celebrate 20 years. I watched, it was well done. I feel good about 2015 for XBOX.
@XboxP3 if you feel good after watching that then I trust you for 2015!
@leedaviebohan I didn't see ship dates on everything in PSX but I know what our plan is and I think XBOX fans will have a fun 2015.
Phil Spencer is a likable guy and him getting the top post shows the confidence Microsoft has in him as well. Since the Xbox One is looking to win the November NPDs due to all the price cut and game deals, it might just be the boost Microsoft requires to compete even harder with Sony.
