Microsoft didn't "start" this (in the business world, these types of deals happen all over, and happened long before they joined the console world). Second, the situation is much more like Bayonetta 2. Capcom came to Sony. They are co-developing the game. Of course there's going to be some kind of incentive. Nothing to hate. If you want the game, it will be available on two devices. |
''starting'' it is more based on my hunch that Microsoft buying exclusivity to a multiplatform franchise like TombRaider probably triggered an internal reaction in sony, but of course I don't know this for sure. How often do we have specific franchises shifting exclusivity to platforms on such an airy basis?Capcom came to sony for what? To save a title they would otherwise be unable to make without additional financial aid? So nothing like Bayonetta 2 clearly. The fact that street figter IV sold 3m units on 360 makes me question the whole thing to be honest, but I'll take your word for it.
Either way this obviously warrants a negative reaction from some fans when they've been led to see the franchise as multiplaform for the better portion of the last decade (across playstation and xbox) so lets not fool ourselfs with the ''Nothing to hate'' rhetoric.
