I wouldn't call XB1 being number 1 for 2 months an accomplishment. They had to cut the price by $170 under a year and give away free games and GC's to compete. PS4 is still the same price.

Sales will going to go back to normal this weekend.

It only dropped $50 these past 2 months, and then an extra $20 on BF. Unless of course you found a Kinect bundle for $350.

waht?

it dropped $50 for the 2 months during BF target added a $70 gift card on top of that, during Dec amazon also matched that and added $70 credit for at least a week, on amazon now there still giving you $50 credit

the price went from 500 to 280-300 if you include the target and amazon 50- 70 gift cards/credit with 2 games

thats a drop of 220-200

sony never moved the needle the best deal 2 game bundle and camara for 400 there could of been 350 solo ps4 deals though but im not sure

the majority of Dec. it was 1-2 game bundle for 400

PS4 is at 15th for the month.

Confirms a wider best-selling gap on Amazon from month to month between the two. November PS4 was 11, 31, 48 and 79.

What was XB1?

It dosent confirm anything. #1 last month could have been 100k while this month being 50k while 15th is 30k. The only thing we can conclude from this is that this month the xbox1 outsold the PS4 on amazon US, and for the most part corolates to the order in which NPD will reflect. In no way shape or form can you deduce a gap diff, doing so is wishful thinking at best.

Don't even try that spin. December sells more than November. That's a fact.

Also, you obviously didn't read what I wrote.

You're definitely right about that actually.

As a very rough (some may argue with this method, don't care, just a rough idea) guide. Imagine rank #1 sells 100k and rank 100 sells 1k (obviously not true but every rank lower than the previous has to be lower in sheer numbers, and every 2 ranks next to each other will be close.

In Nov we have 2, 82 and 100 which adds up to 119k vs PS4's 11, 31, 48 and 79 which adds up to 235k. Almost double.

This month we have XB1 100k vs PS4 96k.

There's also Destiny bundle at 90 but I see exactly where you're coming from

And to claim December sales be lower than November is complete crazy talk.

I included that (86k for #15 and 11k for #91)

I have no idea what the gap will be really, am hoping for 800k vs 1.3m for Dec

Oh ok that makes sense then.

Idk the NPD gap either. But Xbox One definitely won.
