Forums - Nintendo - My First Day With My Wii!

I feel like a kid again... When I laid in bed last night was replaying images of SMG and WiiSports, this has not happened for a LONG time.... like maybe SNES days, maybe N64(OoT did this). I could not be any happier with my purchase. I did not play WiiPlay or Zack and Wiki yet. I am gonna finish SMG before I start Z&W.

I played about 3-4 hours SMG got like 12-13 stars, last place I did before my bro game over was that rocky road place(man it was a pain, very reward when I finally beat it) Awsome game, deserves all that 2nd game on gamerankings it got.

WiiSports- I was playing it with a few friends and my younger brother, very fun. We played bowling for about an hour, and then we did a few tennis matches. One of my friends was making fun of it alittle while I was playing tennis single player, but then I started bowling and he said "let me try that" needless to say he was on it for an hour before I kicked him off to get some SMG in. Played Golf, it was fun. have not tried Boxing or Baseball yet, I will be too busy today to play it, but tomorrow I will find some time!!!

The Wii's fun factor is out of this world. You catch yourself with a giant grin on your face, and you want to wipe it off so you don't look stupid, then you realize everyone you are playing with has the same thing, and you don't really care anymore!!!

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Haha, that's nice to hear man. Yeah, the Wii does that to you, it may not have the prettiest games, but it kicks all other consoles nuts when it comes to pure FUN. Wii Sports and Mario Galaxy are probably the best games to start with, too.

Wow, dude.  That is some fascinating stuff.  Why don't you tell us about the rest of your day?  What did you have for breakfast?  Did your friends say anything about it?  I'll bet they did, and I'll bet it was bazonkers.  Truly, I want to hear all about it.

I remember when I first got MY Wii, and my mom was like, "Video games?  No way."  and my dad was like, "Son, why don't you do something productive with your day?"  But then I was like Swish! Kapow! Zroom!  Schwik!  and they were like, "Whoa."  Then of course, they played it like 4ever.  And I was like, "TOLD YOU SO, GUYS!"  And they were like, "Progruss, you were totally right!"

I remember another time I played with my Wii-nes (Wii nintendo entertainment system, of course) and I played Super Mario Galaxy for like 3 hours!  Can you believe that??!?  ME!  Playing for 3 hours!  That was unprecedented.  And then I was like, "I should do my homework or something."  But then I just went and got another star just for the fun of it, because the Wii is just so gosh darn golly swing my arms around like a lunatic ape excitement machine!  Who can say no?  Not this guy!  Not in a million years!

Anyway, I thought I'd share those tales of wonder with you, because you were so kind to tell us about YOUR Wii experiences.  Keep us updated.  In fact, here's my personal email:  wiibecrazy@funducktimes.com.

i am sorry i started to read this then just decided that i would have more fun shoving a pencil into my eye....yep i was right it was more fun

Congrats on the purchase! I know the feeling, had it with Zelda.

I drink your milkshake.

You played the best 2 Wii sports games, nothing on Wii Play is quite as good as either of them but still has some fantastic games like Pool and the Tank game, Just hopefully you have time for Brawl with these other games you have.
