Forums - Sony - I'm concerned about God of War 3

Has Sony rushed anything with the PS3 so far? I mean all joking aside they've been happy to delay Home, LBP and others, and while not all games have sold well with the exception of Lair (based on reviews, I've never played) it the games themselves (Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm), etc. have been good.

The only game I've played that felt remotely rushed was Motorstorm, in that it had less features (replay, split screen) than I would have expected so I presumed they cut these to make the release date but the game itself (in terms of what was released) was fantastic, best off-roads physics I've played yet and easily most fun driving game for me (across platforms).

So I doubt Sony will rush GOW3 based on the evidence so far.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

God of War is way to big for Sony to just rush it out , so dont worry ;) If quality really needs it , than IMO they will push it back to 2010 IMO :)

Motorstorm could have had a little extra, but the engine was not capable of handling split screen if I remember properly. I think it was rushed a bit for Euro launch, but its good to see the extra maps post-launch, even if we do have to pay for them

Anyway, I'm sure GoW III will only come out when it is ready

Don't worry. The back of the God of War 2 manual mentioned God of War Chains of Olympus was comjng soon and Sony delayed it for quality, and Iam sure God of War 3 will get the same treatment.

All that needs to be said; but I'll add that Sony's lineup is the best this year already (from what is known so far), so they really don't need to push it out before it's ready.

Speaking of god of war, does anyone know if Cory is working on any new projects? ^^ He was an awesome choreographer :D

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

Well, remember, Sony forced the game out in Japan in December '06, without online even!

MotorStorm could've really used a few months to tweak things and add split-screen.

Sony doesn't release games prematurely. They have enough experience to know when games need more polishing.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
