Forums - Gaming - No New Xbox One Game Reveals at The Game Awards

I think they showed most of their stuff in advance at last E3. They simply don't have the studios to reveal stuff at multiple shows in a year. They are smart to show everything at the most popular show and release most of their stuff during the biggest buying season to create the illusion of more games and maximize profitability. It's common sense for them really but it also hurts their sales for the non-holiday season.

Is an awards show a place people usually announce games? Just wondering. It's not like new movies get announced at the Oscars.

It's hard to believe that ain't it? Maybe MS should announce games that are 2 years out just to build "hype" for the forums.

That didn't stop them from announcing Halo, Crackdown, Quantum Break and Gears over a year ago... So 2 and more years before they will be released...

I guess after that they are done until 2017 and Halo 6, Crackdown 4, QB2 and GeoW5... As I said, each day that passes without new MS games I fear more that they will moneyhat developers to delay or cancel a PS4 versions of multiplat AAA titles...

Halo 5 got announced in E3 2014, previously people assumed that a tech demo was an announcement.

Quantum Break doesn't have a set date for reveal, they said 2015 and it could be well before E3.

Gears was announced in January when MS acquired the IP from Epic. And Crackdown was a surprise announcement 6 months ago.

Unlike Sony that announces their games for launch and they don't deliver or Bloodborne, The Order that by the time they get released it will be 2 years after announcement... if not delayed again. You're still waiting on TLG ain't it?

And about moneyhatt? Stop talking out the side of your neck. I guess all the Japanese devs that remain exclusives to Sony, forego publishing on Nintendo and MS platforms because they are humbled by their charm right?

Funny you're talking moneyhatt and 3rd parties are making Bloodborne and The Order...

halo was announced at e3 2013: http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/0c7tbj/halo-5--guardians-e3-2013--teaser-trailer--stream-

yes sony has had some terribly long announcements but recently they've had some very short ones.  it hasn't been just bloodborne that was announced and released within a 12 month window lately.   ratchent and clank into the nexus,  lbp 3, knack, killzone 3, entwined, TLoU remaster, resogun.

hell, infamous was only 13 months and even with delays driveclub and the order are still under 2 years.

It was CGI, not a tech demo. Though i agree, for all intensive purposes Halo 5 was revealed at E32014 (technically a little bit before). The stuff at 2013 was little more than them needing something Halo related to show, so they stuck together a vague CGI trailer.

If any of the three will announce anything, Itll be Sony...

I think nintendo has a better chance of announce something on TGA.I mean,Sony has their own conference a day after.

To be fair, I am not really expecting much from this, specially game reveals

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Its a shame, but I'm not expecting too much from The Game Awards in general. VGX last year was pretty boring, and I'm not sure this will be any different. :/

Yeah I'm sure Sony has to pay to keep Japanese developers off Xbone. I can't believe that 39k userbase isn't enticing them. Think of all the tens of sales they're missing out on.
