Interesting. It came free with my X1 that I order a few days ago so I wonder if I'm eligible for the $15...

You're not, you have to have purchased it in December from Microsoft. Same problem I'm having, actually. Got a bundle on black friday from MS store, so just barely missed it.

Aww

btw what bundle did you get? You said in the summer that you were getting the COD bundle but considering the prices of the AC Unity bundle, it seems like a much better deal.

Ended up cancelling the AW bundle since I'm not a fan of CoD and I still needed to buy some textbooks for college, but I got the AC bundle from the MS store on black friday for $329.99, and got MCC free with it. Really happy I waited, much better and cheaper than the AW bundle.

Yeah I got the same bundle too although in Canada it was $349.

I don't understand why they wouldn't give the 15$ back to the day one buyers...? Seems a little strange to me.

Nice! Canadian dollar is a bit weaker if I remember correctly, so we got it for the same price, or around it

Because this deal has nothing to do with the problems MCC had during launch.  Its a promotional deal promotting MS Rewards program.

Oh ok I didn't read the OP lol. I thought they wanted to reduce the price for people who plan on buying the game because of the server problems.

MS probably always had this planned out but it just comes out at a time when the MCC did not have a successful launch so it looks bad.

Sadly, Xbox Rewards is not available in my region. Curse you Microsoft. There is more to global than the US.

strange choice... basically trying to get new customers while possibly annoying the rest of your fanbase.

This reminds me of people who early adopted the xb1 and got limbo as a thank you.

This happened before launch too
