No, your talking about 1 region, even the mighty SSBB sold 78k in the UK FW and that was on the Wii. Should we call TLoU (GoTY) having terrible sales in Japan? Again 1 region. SSB 3DS did 50k, SSBU did between 32k-42k FW in UK. 

Relax even Bayo2 tied with DS2 didn't sell well at all either despite being one of the very top highest rated games. 

Also Fighting Genre is Niche apparently now and SSB isnt big in Europe in General, especially more in the UK.

As someone who lives in the UK, I'm not surprised.

a) Nintendo simply are not popular here. Nintendo's popularity here has always lagged behind their popularity in other regions.

b) Mario Kart is a more popular series than Smash Bros. Significantly really. Everyone loves Mario Kart, but Smash is for the real Nintendo fans - and as I've said, there aren't so many of those here.

With that said, the numbers are as expected.
