Obviously not expecting much from the cretins in the UK anyway in terms of sales for Smash Bros. Wii U, but not sure how much to take from that number. I and various other people I know who preordered this still didn't get it in the UK, so I have no idea how many people that ordered online actually got it and stock shortages may have affected the amount available elsewhere... plus the fact that it was a new release may have got lost amidst the general Black Friday deals. This is a case where you really need to wait for the next few weeks (or however long it takes them to actually get shipments to UK) to see what the actual initial demand is for it. Don't expect it will be good, but probably not as bad as 30k.

Although I'm not taking your word for this, he wouldn't realize because he absolutely refuses to look at Nintendo in any positive light at all. If something does well, he must find some sort of problem. I commend him, sometimes it must be hard work.

I never said that great sales = GOTY. I merely pointed out that a GOTY contender (like the entire press/community is saying Smash is) should logically attract a little more people, unless it's just overhyped for some reason.

I don't leterally mean 3 times better in every eu country

but france and germany will each likely be over 50k

with other countries adding around 30-40k

so around smash 3ds numbers I believe which isn't bad for less than 2 million install base compared to a 13 million one
