Forums - Microsoft - Windows 10mfgyes!

It's Vista/7 all over again. Everyone hated Vista for being so much different from XP. Then a slightly changed Vista named Windows 7 came around and everyone loved it. Same is happening with 8 and 10.

People don't even realize that the biggest change isn't the technology, but the time that passed to get used to the new thing.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I love my windows seven and never want to upgrade. Despite it not running that well. I'm just so used to it now and i don't like their designs since.

In Windows 10, you will have the option of using virtual desktops. Right now you just have one desktop per monitor — but with virtual desktops, you can switch between as many desktops as you like.

20 years later, and finally what I took for granted in x-windows.

I've gotten used to Win 8 after removing every trace of Metro apps. Win+x key shortcut and Shell:AppsFolder desktop shortcut have all I need.

they just make more money than they could spend so it kinda leads to them being lazy on somethings. It's human nature.

I know exactly how you feel, pretty much the same happened to me recently!

I was riding on the train when I realized the guy next to me was reading a computer magazine. The page he was currently reading seemed to be showing a screenshot from Windows 8, so I was like:
"Dude! Get that horrible, super-ugly Windows 8 garbage out of my sight! I can't stand it, I'm about to vomit! This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen! Ever! Ever ever!!! Ever ever ever!!!"
But he was like: "Windows 8? No way, that is Windows 8.1!"
And I was like:
"Wow, that is so fucking awesome, OMFG I need to have it it's so beautiful I'm absolutely loving it, I would kill 10000 cute little baby cats just to get a second look at it, oh please please please OMG YES, YEEEEEESS YEEEEAAAAHHHHH WHOOOOOOOO OMG I want to have kids with this OS it's so beautiful"

Who could have seriously expected that simply using a different number would turn garbage into pure gold?

Eh, can't see much of a difference personally.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

But there is a start button!

(saying that if you ever do install win8 you can just get the "classic start" from somewhere like https://ninite.com/ , great lil site that btw)

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

It does look nice and I'll admit Windows has come a long way in the last few years, but after all the BS I endured with Windows XP, I'm just not ready to trust them again yet.
