Forums - Sony Discussion - Your wild ideas for the next PSP

sorry to anyone who posted this topic already byt anyways they should do some crazy things like: ditch the umd disc and make it blu ray disc compatible. have intergrated memory. have better online support and make it have ps home have a slot to play ur old umd psp discs. have mini radio functions an alternate controller for your ps3 or ps4 if it comes out have motion sensors. yes i know its nearly impossible to fit these things into one handheld an d make it small, but give me some wild suggestions.

Just throwing this out there, but maybe they could try marketing it as if it were a game system instead of a music player.

Blu-Ray would be terrible for a handheld:
-It would make the system WAY too big and awkward, physically
-Even the PS3 has difficulty with BR load times--it would be even worse for a handheld, and long load times are unacceptable with portables.

-Right analog stick (yes 'stick', not nub)
-possiblya touch screen or tilt sensor

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

What next PSP? Touchscreen probably...

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Man i just wish that were true.....

Dual Joystick
Make it a game machine, ditch the movie/music thing
quicker load times
better games
cheaper if possible
better memory (possibly a hard drive)

have a second analog stick and a flip cover. The cover could protect the screen and be able to have real sticks instead of nubs like thekitchensink said. keep just the two shoulder buttons and take the cd/dvd out of the umd case and replace it with a blu ray disc. that should clear up space issues on most games and by the time Sony is ready to put out a new psp they should be able to make small, fast reading blu ray drives and you could still have backwards compatability. I don't know how much power it takes to run one of those but logically it shouldn't be more than a normal disc. space out the input buttons a touch but keep the d pad the size that it is.
