Forums - General - Take ps/2 port from one pc and install it in another.

I can't stand not having  keyboard. I just ordered one but it won't be here for  few days. My only other keyboard is ps/2 not usb and my pc doesn't have a ps/2 port. Is it possible to take the ps/2 port from another spare pc and install it in this one. If not anyother way I could do this instantly without buying anything.

You'd have to desolder the port. Not for the weak tho, I really don't recommend it if you don't know what you're doing.

Anyway I could have both pcs share monitor then? Or network the pcs so I could someho use the keyboard on the main one.

I'm afraid I don't understand you... You can't share monitor with PC.

Why don't you take a quick trip to your closest Office Depot/Best Buy/etc. and buy a PS/2 to USB adapter for less than 5 bucks?

Cause I live in the middle of nowhere and the closest Office Depot/Best Buy/etc. is about 3hrs. Would radio shack have them? Oh my monitor has usb.dvi, and vga so can't i use vga for one pc and dvi for another?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
