The Ratchet and Clanks on the PS3 looked pretty darn great, so I'm sure this will look really good. I wouldn't really call it a "cartoonish" game though, the graphics are much more CGI-like.

Nah, a Titanfall 2 announcement seems way too early due to just 1 studio working on the franchise (as far as we know), but I can see them confirming future installments for PS4. It wouldn't surprise me if they are there to announce Titanfall PS4. I know that EA signed a lifetime deal with Microsoft but I wouldn't be surprised if they signed a deal which says they can release it on other platforms if it doesn't hit a certain amount of sales within a specific timeframe. Or they are there just for the panel...


Wait wasnt the deal only for Titanfall "1"?

Agreed. I think it'll look just like the movie, very CGI-like indeed. But even though I'll always see it as a cartoon. What I mean is that I use the word "cartoon" to describe any unrealistic, or stylized, or very colorful, etc., game.

I know it's not the best word to describe it anymore, but I don't have a better one. xD

Titanfall 2 seems a bit early, I doubt it's launching until 2016.

Cool, it's great to see like minded gamers. My comment was more for this thread and the lack of talk about the potential for this R&C remake. There have been rumors that it looks very close to the movie in quality in some scenes. I always loved that fine line R&C walks between all out, over the top movie violence and cartoony art style. The crazy weapons were always so much fun to play around with.

Hopefully they bring back Mr Zurkon.

 

Knack has great graphics, this should be an evolution over that, hopefully with more expansive environments. I almost wish that Sony had left the announcement for PSX, rather than just having Andrew House mention it in passing after the trailer for the movie, it would have more impact if Sony and Insomniac did the announcement and first glimpses of footage in the same part of a keynote or something.

I don't think there has been any hints, at least I haven't read any online. I think there are meant to be some important developers at that event and I believe it will last for an hour, so there may be something(s). there may not.

At least that thing isn't too far away.

 

I supposed PSX and the VGAs aren't far away now, but that's closer. :)
