Imo it was the introduction of the vitality sensor, how people were hype for that thing lol, it was the next disruptive innovation. all they did was put a cable at the end of an oximeter and that was enough to get their fan base go wild.

2008 "highlight" was Wii Music, 2010 was Kinectimals, but the entire conferences were failures at large. The main problem with the Wonderbook presentation was that it wasted a lot of time on something the hardcore weren't interested in. I know the same can be said for the above, but the difference is that it wasn't that terrible to be honest.

they were out of their minds to do what they did in 2008. absolutely out of their minds. they were bad ass in 2006 and 2007, but once 2008 rolled around, they really thought they were on top of the world and that they could throw whatever the fuck her name is on stage to represent nintendo and what direction they were going in. and of course, all the games they showed were absolute trash. nintendo's 2010 was probably the best e3 anybody has had all generation though. 

microsoft's kinect demonstrations and kinectimals, and all that other shit they pulled was pretty horrendous. started an ugly trend for them over the next couple of years that i think theyre finally out of.

sony's wonderbook e3 was actually a good e3. wonderbook was just stupid and a waste of time. it is in no way like sonys' 2006, nintendo's 2008, and microsoft's 2010, which were all complete and utter disasters every way you look at it. wonderbook just wasted time. thats it. 

seriously, when you have some times, watch nintendo's 2008 and microsofts 2010. its worth it. 

Nintendo 2008 and Microsoft 2010 were pretty dreadful, but they weren't quite as spectacularly, hilariously absurd as Sony '06. And certainly not as (unintentionally) funny.
