Well, guys - I wouldn't really count the month as already spoken for yet. Honestly, our districts had the big explosion of XB1 sales right at the beginning, but now, the PS4 is selling more than the XB1 again. And it's not even neck and neck for daily/weekly sales, the PS4 is selling just outright better again. And we're receiving a lot of questions about the PS4 bundles for BF, discussions about how early people are allowed to line up to be able to get those bundles...

GTA V is also selling definitively better on the PS4. We had a big rush of people picking up the console with that game. The price cut helped convince a lot of people that were on the fence right at the beginning of the month, but at this point... We'll have to see exactly how BF goes. I can't call it either way.


That one country happens to be the biggest tho.  I agree with you that the month isn't over yet either.  Anything can happen in the next two weeks.  So let's all hold off until after Holidays.

Xbox brand has always been U.S. and UK market.  Sony has owned the rest, but those two are the biggest.  So this isn't different from last generation.  The U.S. is coming around and UK too.  

Sorry but that's not going to happen. PS4 is up by over a million in the US. Would be an interesting prediction to guess that xb1 will overtake ps4 in us by holiday end, but it's likely not going to happen.

1M is not really that much at all.  It's really a moot point at best. 

You're right, it is a moot point given the sales we'll see this holiday. The real point however, is that sales have only picked up for xb1 during the holiday and this really unbelievable price point. Walmart is going to have xb1 for 299$. It's almost half off the price it came out at a year ago. This isn't a diss, we're just talking facts. MS have said this is a temporary price drop, and while it's very possible it might stay at this new 349$ price point, xb1 is still having a hard time outselling ps4 in the us. Only 100k over this past week, a week that sees the release of a call of duty game. Years ago, a new cod would see sales be much higher:

You can look at this two ways.
1. xb1 is selling 80% of what x360 was selling
2. ps4 is selling 150% of what ps3 was selling

In fact, both of them are true. PS4 is the fastest selling console ever. It's extremely close to the wii sales after one year, and has a chance of outpacing it after the holiday at double the price. xb1 is actually trending the same as ps3 in its first year....except ps3 had no gaems, and xb1 does.

When you put the facts into perspective like this, it's not conrcrete proof of, but it really supports the view that this is not going to continue after holiday. Sales are going to tank going into the next year, especially if they raise the price back up. Xb1 will become a holiday system, just like MS have conditioned.

It's going to be like PS4 sold more then Xbox.  Both are going to crush the Holidays tho.   I mean we are probably going to have 25M consoles sold in the first year.  That's incredible for the industry.

Remarkable comeback! Seriously, if the contest between the PS4 and the X1 was a heavy weight boxing match we are just half way though round 2, enough time has not passed for a comeback because no one has gone anywhere it has only just begun, both fighters are looking good, strategies may have already changed but a KO has not been delivered, the PS4 is ahead on points at this stage but there is still a long way to go before the end and both are showing that they are up for a long, intense and interesting fight.

Umm no, the fight is way over world wide, the gap will grow weekly.

I agree that the PS4 will keep on totting up the points but can anyone say a KO has already been delivered? The PS3 was outsold WW for a while by the 360 and made a remarkable comeback. With that in mind and the fact we have only just begun I am saying it is too early to say we have had a comeback for the X1 and also to early to declare an absolute winner!
