I can see the value case when you are only comparing consoles. If you want to discuss the appeal of the exclusives, well that is a taste question and mileage will vary.

I find Steam to be the single best value in gaming (I have to have a computer anyway), but I like console exclusives and have never regretted my day one Wii U purchase. But that is beside the point since this thread is only about the value proposition of consoles.

The other two consoles have not yet had an exclusive that has been worth the up front and continuing costs for me personally yet (that can easily change with a few titles).

All things considered, it probably is the best value on the console market at the moment.

If the WiiU was $99 dollars than i would agree,but it isn't.That is the only way I would buy one. The games out now do not interest me.Xenosaga and Zelda are the only games that would make the WiiU attractive to me when it is $99 dollars and not a penny more.

The XB1 is pretty good value this holiday that $350 with 2 free games....

It is definitely better value if you want to play Nintendo games. Nintendo games on Playstation are just not worth the 400 bucks.
