Yep, they added a new weapon I hear. Also, the checkpoints were probably added because of this being a portable game, although you can always turn it off mid-game. Perhaps not, though, maybe they just felt it needed more. I enjoy a lot of checkpoints.

PSP's lineup just got 4 games in the upper 70's and above (Downstream Panic, Wipeout Purlse, Patapon, and GoW:CoO), 2 in the top 7, and this game that is the highest rated portable game of this generation (based on reviews so far). Good month of PSP games.

Oh, and Crisis Core is at 90% on metacritic so far with 4 reviews.  That's the game I most look forward to, but I can't wait to play all 5 of these games.

Weren't Pulse and Patapon in the 80's though for me WipEout is easily 9/10

yeah, I said "and above" but I should have just listed the scores. Downstream Panic is at 79%, Wipeout Pulse at 83%, Patapon at 88%, and CoO at 93%.  That's all according to metacritic, which is easier to look at new releases than gamerankings.

I just edited my post to include Crisis Core, hah!

BTW, I'm actually more exicted in Crisis Core. That is not to say I'm not interested in GoW, I'm just a HUGE RPG fan

I completely agree that (1) Video games are over sexed and violent and (2) Making the same GOW game on a handheld is a nice technical achievement, but rewarding it with super high scores discourages true creativity. Personally, I hate playing the same game twice.

So you dont like playing mario?

 Thats what you mean when god of war 1 and 2 are the same game, then mario 64 and mario galaxy must be the same game as well.

 I'm going to agree with you on this one, i just watched the review and i thought the game was amazing.  I have never played a GoW game but after seeing this i think i may need to purchase GoW 1&2.
