Forums - Sony - Playstation TV already on sale on Amazon

Saw a listing today for the Playstation TV on Amazon for $80 with free shipping.  Is this a sign that it's just sitting on store shelves?  I know i went into my local Toys R  Us 2 days ago and I was talking to the employee and he told me that the 5 Playstation TV's are the same 5 that they had on its release.  Crazy that they havent sold a single one.

With Sony unvieling their future TV service I really feel as though they need to fix or market this product better if they want hopes of this TV service to be a success.

Do people in US know it exists?

Looks like they don't, this is why I say they need to market it better

I'm not sure that marketing it better is the issue

They simply haven't marketed it at all

The other problem is that it's not hugely good at its job. If it could do 1080p, I might be interested given I could wire up both ends and get a stable connection, but it's stuck to 720p

Shame. They have just done a terrible job here

If I can get one at $60 or less I'll bite.  Maybe even two.  One for legitimate purposes, the other for an exlpoit that turns it into a CFW PSP with Vita capabilities.

I am not surprised. It was destined to fail from the moment it was announced.

Now a days a $399 / $499 system cant do 1080p. You are expecting the same from $79 device. Even if its for desplay only its too much.

Maybe I should rephrase. I don't care about 1080p Vita, but 1080p streaming from my PS4 would be good

BUT, the main issue is lack of 1080p Netflix (or other VOD). That's just not acceptable

Sure. A worse PSVita. Thus the sales.
