How were the sales of the second one? Decent enough for a third?

No, but the game has built a cult following and I think Phil Spencer wants to revive those kind of games.

Opposite effect? How so?


Sort of like with Star Fox. We releasing the game will only make publishers think that there's no interest for because they will naturally be much smaller sales on that then the original. And to be honest, the demand for a Shenmue 3 is much smaller than those people think.

I've been waiting for Shenmue III longer than FFXIII Versus FFXV.

I bought a PAL Dreamcast just to play Shenmue II back in the day!

So Shenmue 3 wouldn't be the ending of Shenmue anyway?

 

That's...disappointing to know, although it kinda makes sense in the grand scheme of things; Ryo still can't defeat Lan Di, with his current martial arts knowledge.
