Forums - Sony - Sony announces its cloud TV service, called PlayStation Vue

This is not like/HULU, Netflix.. etc this is live broadcasting streaming TV over an internet access point..since as long as you have internet access it would allow you to view the stream of live broadcasting TV. Its not about prerecorded TV content as the main function!

Isn't it funny that PS4 is gonna beat X1 at its own game. First the camera is more popular, and now it will be a better media box.

First hardcore, then you go with media, and then you pull in the casuals. That's the order you do it in people!

The only funny part I find here is that people seem to like this stuff on Playstation (and why not) but on the internet everyone was like "I would never want to pay for a cam or TVTVTV" (which has nothing to do with what the guy who responded first in this thread said, it was a general refusal of anything which was not gaming)

So many want to use it and I doubt that all of those who said they wouldn't really won't.

And before you try to tell it to me, yes I know that there is a difference between selling it to everyone or giving people options. Doesn't change that pretty much everyone was like "I would never use this or that" and now you see how at least some people lied.

I mean I never said "nobody" would use these things (In fact 5 million people said they would in 2013).  The difference is MS made their console all about these things most didn't care as much about, and that the PS4 already did as well.

Man the goal posts just keep getting moved back, sony could announce DRM (not that I care, i don't buy used) today and some fans would find a way to say it's ok, because sony does it in a way that's consumer friendly.

The goals posts haven't been moved. Sony focused on the games first and then, gradually bring in the multimedia functions. This is not like the X1 reveal where 3/4 of it was all about TV and the rest on COD.

Also, I have no idea why you brought up DRM when it doesn't relate to the topic of this thread whatsoever.

and the fact , that this is being consumer friendly, is not a + benefit for the consumer? so it has to be a negative in order to be a good thing for consumers?

How does that even make sense?

I would agree with your post if sony was actually releasing games, to me sounds like they were giving unrealistic release dates. What does that say if MSFT focused 3/4 of it's reveal on tv and still has more retail releases than sony? Please don't post that list of 100 indie games.

Sony are releasing games and have actually released more games than MS. You are just choosing not to look it up as proven by your "don't post that list of 100 indie games." Indie games are games, so to discrimminately omit them from the equation is wholly ignorant. And man, will next year be a bloodbath!

so let me get this straight, somehow some way indies do not count, free 2 play do not count also? yeah lets just frame the  argument only the way you want it to be framed. lets go one step further. lets just exclude the PS4 completely. LMAO

I mean with the way many gamers act on here, Since the PS4 "has no Games! why count it at all?

LMAO

Quanity vs name brand are not equal
Eh indie games do not sell consoles, franchises do....I buy Nintendo for Zelda/Mario, ps recently for last of us and xb for halo.

You are in the minority if you buy a console for indie games.

The only console indie games I'be actually paid for and didn't get with Xbox live...were "state of decay" and another zombie game can't remember title.

But back to the OP Vue might get me clear off the dust off my ps4 and actually use it but I will have to buy psn plus to probably use it and use my xb1 for online gaming so it it might a waste for me...since I have cable but if the pricing is right it might actually let me ditch cable in the future.
