46. Pokemon X and Y rated about the same as Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It was still the same satisfying Poke-experience, but the new coat of paint (and surprisingly strong soundtrack) pushed it up past Black and White. Diamond and Pearl appear further up the list due to a stronger post-game, where X and Y were badly weak.

PSO had motorcycles?
My number 45, meanwhile, premiered a group of royalty who where later (and quite controversially) replaced by a single prince.

Oops, thought that had something to do with Burnout.
It's a simple question really. Who would win in a fight: Mario or Link? Pikachu or Kirby? Samus or Donkey Kong? Well with Super Smash Bros. we could finally find out in a smashing fashion! Based loosely on the concept of sumo wrestling, the goal of Smash Bros. is a simple one: knock the opponent off the stage with a vast array of moves and Nintendo themed items. And with that simplicity came frantic fun from the get go. I'm not a fan of traditional fighting games because of how complex and unintuitive their controls can be, but with SSB. I was all smiles from the first time I knocked Yoshi out of the park. From then on it's been a blast, and my friends and I will once in a while take out the ol' Nintendo 64 and have another round. Simply brilliant.

Super Mario 3D World is what I'm guessing.
Number 46: Starcraft:
This title was released at a time where all RTS games had balancing issues; Blizzard took care of that in a grand way. Command & Conquer, Dune, Age of Empires; no one had any say in the matter of the RTS throne and nothing was ever the same.
This title is arguably the most influental game in modern gaming history, it spawned E-sports, which has come into its own and left a historical mark on the entire entertainment industry and has helped gaming gain mainstream acceptance, it showed that PC gamers could still buy games in droves and it was near perfect from a technical standpoint.
The interface allowed for much quicker and more efficient gameplay and controls and the skirmishes in Starcraft had never been seen before in any RTS; it was a more fluid, frantic and demanding title than anything else in the same genre and is without a doubt the most important RTS game released after the original Dune. Oh; and along with Diablo, this game made Blizzard the titan they are in gaming today so even if you're not a fan of the game but still enjoy Blizzard's other offerings; you owe Starcraft a lot.
Hint for 45:
This game, along with a much more famous and monolithic title, was spawned on what could be considered the most unlikely platform for the genre and the controller on this system made things like free-aiming a thing on consoles. This game sports some highly original enemies that had not been portrayed in this genre before, and which were popularized four years prior by one of the highest grossing movies of the 90's.
Hint #46:
Saddle my horse and hand me the sword, it's time to stab people in the face once again. Later DLC switch settings to the wars of the early 19th century.
Hint #45:
Who cares about the ocean when you can fly above the clouds! A legendary adventure!
Hint for #45:
Despite being praised as one of the best IgaVanias in the series, this game isn't actually an IgaVania.
