No guesses for my hint yet?

Here's another. I like trains.

I didn't catch your first hint actually. Based on this one only, I can think of FFVIII =P

If he had said he dislikes trains, would you have thought of FFVI? :P

See? Someone bothered to check through my previous games to see which one was a sequel! Unlike you, Axum. I am dissapoint.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Nah, it's just that Selphie keeps mentioning how much she likes trains.

F-zero

silence and mute city

Ok. Next time I'll say it was a game released sometime in the last 40 years, who knows maybe then it won't be guessed instantly. Nah, who am I kidding, it will still happen regardless. This is unbelievable. Yes, it is F-Zero.

Edit: your username just makes it that much more ironic. Sorry to break it down to you, but the cake was a lie and so were the cookies.

Damn. That was a great hint, and some great detective work by 2Quick.

Thanks a lot!

I've been playing a lot of F-Zero X recently, so i was able to identify it.  Its 60 fps is silky smooth and fantastic for multiplayer.  It barely didnt make my own list...  One of my honorable mentions though!

41. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Genesis (1994)
Sonic Team

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 holds a very special place in my heart. For one thing, the game introduces the greatest game character of all time: Knuckles the Echidna! This new foe matched Sonic on every level, and laughed at him while he continued to impede the Blue Blur's progress. This game is also noteworthy to me because for years I could not beat this game. Try as I might, I would make it all the way to Carnival Night Zone and get stuck in that one barrel area. Just Google "Carnival Night Zone" and you'll get a plethora of pictures like this:

Glad to see I wasn't alone. Despite the setback, I still loved playing this game and all the great fun I had before getting to that roadblock. Fantastic music (rumors state tht Michael Jackson helped with the music), great level design (Well... yeah), new power-ups, and classic Sonic goodness made this game a winner in my book. Years later, I finally did beat Carnival Night Zone and go on to IceCap (Dat music) Zone, Launch Base Zone, and stop Robotnik from restoring the Death Egg. Mission Complete.

40. StarCraft
PC (1999)
Blizzard Entertainment

StarCraft was my first ever Real Time Strategy game (I started out watching my friend play WarCraft II, and picked it up after becoming a huge fan of this game), and it was the game that began my love affair with Blizzard Entertainment (where that love has gone now, no one knows...). All I can say is that Blizzard crafted a game with such polish that it still holds up incredibly well to this day. They also created a world (well in this case, a universe) full of lovable (as well as vile) characters, unique worlds and species, and an intriguing story full of heroic deeds and evil tretchery. StarCraft remains an incredibly memorable and lovable game after all these years thanks to the love that Blizzard put into it, and the fans around the world are up for another match. For the swarm!

Hint for #39 (We're in the 30's!):

This game traded the vast ocean of the previous game for a vast mountain range. It also was the premier of my favorite weasel.

#39  #45 - Originally on my list at #39, but after looking at the others below it, I realized that this game does not deserve to be ahead of them, so I pushed it to #45 below Dead Space. Surely, there will be more reshuffling until New Year...

The game was OK, one of the few X360 exclusives I actually liked. I liked the gameplay, but the story was way too much of a B-rated Stephen King knockoff for me to like it more. Good for a fun playthrough, but not enough to want to go back to it.
