Forums - Nintendo - Amiibo figures can only hold information for one game at a time

You say they screwed it up without it even taken off yet. We'll see in a year when several games come out with amiibo support. They are doing just more than this. Even a cheaper alternative which will be cards for example.

That's great and all but you're changing the subject because you're clearly wrong. Smash brothers will not be the only game with data that needs to be saved  on the amiibo.

Let me know when that game comes that you need written amiibo data from one of the ssb amiibos, intill then im right :)

I don't know how I feel about this yet...but honestly, I'm probably going to want more than one Samus if I end up liking amiibo. So I'll buy her for SSBU and for Metroid U. Problem solved...probably.

So you think that Nintendo's BIG PLAN was to have amiibo be physical DLC? OK THEN.

Absolutely!  It just depends what you want to be a sucker for.  I'm not entirely sold on the concept yet anyway...but supposing I like what they are doing with them, I'd probably want another outfit or stance anyway.  I'm certainly not going to line up to buy every amiibo that comes out (I'm definitely not a collector, per se).  And I wouldn't be surprised if they release special amiibo for each game anyway, probably at a discount.  It'll really be more like buying a collector's edition at that point then...and I'm sure more than a few members on these boards are guilty of that.

I'm happy that you're ok with getting butt raped by a corporation.

Moderated - Starcraft

Nintendo will probably have some limited edition mario amiido and link amiibo (OOT, TW, SS) lots of ways to make you spend that mula.

Um...I think the proper response to this insult is "you can't rape the willing."  If you haven't noticed, I love Nintendo and Metroid...I'm not a mindless drone...I buy selectively.  I may selectively buy this and not have a problem with it...if it makes sense. I'm going to hold off on both purchasing (and judging) until it actually comes out.

Ok, if you have a problem with this, why not turn around and walk away?

That said, physical dlc? Sure what ever makes you happy.

Why not turn and walk away? Why should I? I'm bored and this interests me.  What I mean by "physical DLC" is basically buying a toy to get minor unlockables in a few games. If that's their game plan, it's going to fail miserably.
