Forums - Nintendo - Amiibo figures can only hold information for one game at a time

Is there even gonna be another game that uses it's save data?

That seemed to be the promise of these things, but now it seems nintendo wants you to buy multiple mario figures or link figures if you want to use their primary function in future games.

Your having misunderstanding or just ignoring facts. You keep saying you need to buy multiple amiibos when you dont. Stop lying to everyone. Name 1 game that has written data for amiibo excluding super smash?

Hyrule Warriors: read data

Mario Kart 8: read data

Othr games will be read data (kirby+mario party+captain toad)

So just stop now

You're the one misunderstanding. For any future games that have a function like smash brothers you will have to buy another amiibo for that game. There will be lines of amiibos for future games.

Nintendo has never stated this once. Its N3DS all over again (when some people thought N3ds meant no more regular 3ds support and/or nintendo games will only be N3ds exclusive).

3 current games use amiibos. 1 is written data, other 2 are read data. 3 other known games are having amiibo support, they will most likely be read data like every future game to come.

So any future game with amiibo support will just have unlockables like in Hyrule Warriors? That's really sad and somehow I doubt that. Not all future games will be only read data as you say. If so, then Nintendo REALLY screwed this up and has no idea wtf they're doing. Well, they already screwed it up but hey.

You say they screwed it up without it even taken off yet. We'll see in a year when several games come out with amiibo support. They are doing just more than this. Even a cheaper alternative which will be cards for example.

if there is no other upcoming game with amiibo write data, nintendo is mercenary because makes us pay for skins, (also not creative and is not using amiibo properly).
If nintendo shows up another game with amiibo write data, nintendo is mercenary because they makes us buy lots of the same amiibo.

So, nintendo is always mercenary.

That's great and all but you're changing the subject because you're clearly wrong. Smash brothers will not be the only game with data that needs to be saved  on the amiibo.

I think I get what you're saying, though it's an odd way to say it. No the impression that a lot of people got was that you would not need to buy multiple marios for example but this now necessitates that you do. There could easily be enough memory to work across multiple games in the same way that it works in smash bros but now we know that nintendo will expect you to buy amiibos created for specific games.

Hopefully, Nintendo makes data management app that allows users to store those data into the console and swap them when needed.

That kind of defeats the purpose of it doesn't it? I mean I could see them doing that, although they won't since I think they want people to buy the game specific amiibos.
