Forums - Nintendo - Fantasy life(3DS). Is it good?

I am on the fence about this game.I am a big RPG fan, but don't like farm/village sims that much (Harvest moon, Animal crossing, Tomodachi life, etc).
I also enjoyed a lot Ni No kuni on PS3 and i like Level-5 stuff most of the time.

I tryed to watch some gameplays without spoilers, but still on the fence.
If you have it or can point a good review, i would be
very grateful.

I am curious as well. Its level 5 but idk if its any good or not. Anyone played the game yet?

(I haven't played it yet, but) you can play it however you really want, but it is less story driven and more "free" than stuff like Ni No Kuni. I guess it kinda depends why you like RPGs...is it because of the story or because you just like the big world with lots to do and combat? If it is the former, Fantasy Life probably isn't your deal, but if you don't mind a looser structure to your RPGs and just want some fun gameplay, check it out.

Currently playing it now.

Cute and charming visually although graphically underwhelming at times.
As for gameplay, somewhere between an traditional RPG and Animal Crossing (never really played a Rune Factory game although it is compared to them a lot).
There is combat which can be simple at times, but gets a little trickier depending on what class you fight as.
The non combat classes are actually kinda fun,
There is a story but the real meat of the game comes from gathering, hunting and crafting.

A real slog at first, but when I stopped treating it as an RPG and more as a Sim game I found myself enjoying it while playing at a fair pace. In saying that, it is much more of a RPG than say Animal Crossing.
I main a Paladin class to fight and progress through the story, but also have mining and woodcutting skills to harvest resources as I go (really essential to do so).

If you want to know something else, ask away.

It is, really.

I absolutely loved it. It's relaxing, fun, and there are tons of things to do. I really recommend it.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

It's very good, a huge amount of content and plenty to do, with an expansive and charming world. (I even named my account after mascot of the game.)

yey

I enjoy it a lot, takes awhile to be fully let lose into the game but once you are its a lot of fun.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

I got the same feeling, but luckily it only took me about 1 hour to really get into it.
