Because not everyone is going to go out and buy a PS4 and just happen to need a smart phone at the exact same time. Otherwise yes I do plan on getting a Sony phone when it's time to upgrade. All the android devices are so close at this point it doesn't matter much to me but that remote play does matter a lot.

I had no plans to ever root my PS4 but looks like I'm going to have to go ahead and do it.

Yea I remember reading this was the plan all along. I don't care what update MS releases being able to play my PS4 on my phone is an amazing feature. My job is very laid back and I have plenty of free time to do what I want. So I would gets tons of time at work to play. The only issue is the connection here is horrible I don't ever think I've been at a company so big with such a horrible connection.

Just sayin, with the xperia z series and many other android devices you can use an mhl to hdmi cable and connect your phone to the tv to remote play. So vita tv = dead in the dust as well. I can't believe how many people failed to realize this potential.
