Because not everyone is going to go out and buy a PS4 and just happen to need a smart phone at the exact same time. Otherwise yes I do plan on getting a Sony phone when it's time to upgrade. All the android devices are so close at this point it doesn't matter much to me but that remote play does matter a lot.
I had no plans to ever root my PS4 but looks like I'm going to have to go ahead and do it.
