Hi all,

So I've been one of *those* who had a WiiU, but no model of the 3DS. Forgive me, I've only dipped my toes back into Nintendo gaming since last November when I got a WiiU. Fun facts: my last Nintendo console before WiiU was the N64, my last portable before my 2DS was a GBA. I have lots of catching up to do!

I've had plenty of content on the WiiU to enjoy because of my absence from Nintendo console gaming. But since I recently changed jobs and I'm moving soon, and I'm kind of a nomad between my apartment and staying with family, I figured it was time to get a Ninty handheld!

Took advantage of the Walmart $80 2DS deal. I picked 2DS because I didn't feel the 3D effect on XL worked well enough for me, and I didn't want to wait months for the new 3DS. Whenever I get the new 3DS, I'm sure I'll have a family member who'll gladly "borrow" it for "car trips" for "their kids" :)

Right now I only have DKCR that I redeemed from Club Nintendo. May also get SSB so I can get the soundtrack. I may also yet get an additional 2DS so my wife and I can both play Pokemon and co-op through NSMB2 or Mario 3D Land.

I plan on going mostly digital.

I'm aware the many great games 2DS/3DS has, but do feel free to recommend me some games! I'm a fan of platformers, and some RPGS.

3D land is a must if you like platformers.

Kingdom Hearts, SMT, Etrian Odysee are all decent options for RPGS, TR Final Fantasy Curtain Call is also great if you want something a bit different that has some light RPG elements to it.

3. Smash Bros 3DS - can't argue with portable.
4.3D Land - Great Platformer.
