I understand your reason but, you shouldnt let metacritic scores affect your purchase of a game. Neither should you let things like the Nightfall series (lots of game series are usually bad imo) affect it too. You can still watch lets play videos later on and see if you really want the game later on. No game has to be bought day one :)

You're obviously entitled to your decision though I don't think it will make you popular amongst Xbox fans. I'm not sure an 88 metacritic would keep me from buying a game (actually meta has never been a factor when I buy games).

But since you already have played all the games it's not like it adds a ton of value for you. Especially since Nightfall is garbage.

cant tell if joke or not but a 88 on meta in 2014 is like a mid 90s on meta 5 yrs ago noticed reviews are harsher in the last 2 or so yrs they aint throwing out those 10s like they used too

If we used Metacritic as the sole reason for our gaming and entertainment decisions, then everyone should be downloading VVVVVV, Traps N'Gemstones, and Banner Saga on their iOS devices, and all three of these games should be in the running for GOTY...

For me the reason why i want this games (if i have a chance to buy Xbox One) because i never had a chance to play Halo series (i played 2 but get bored easily on Xbox original).

So this definitely a masterpiece for people who have not play or for a collector, or a crazy Halo fans. Yeah I agree if you already have the previous series it's not interesting anymore "and meta score is there to help you decide because you have the games in your previous console" . Unless if you really want to replay some campaign in a glory 1080p and 60 fps and small tweaked graphic.

Yeah, i respect your choice, and you can buy the games later if you really feel you need to preserve the games ( as a collector ) but you don't have to worry, you might get a platinum edition for more cheaper price.

remember the people who were the last to play Halo 2 online! Imagine how happy they are with this. They won't even get Halo 5 just keep playing this Halo 2 for like 10 more years lol

I got an original XBox to play the first 2 Halo games. I now own all 5 Halo games, so I don't need the Master Chief Collection. When I decide to get an XBox One, I'll definitely be getting Halo 5.

The critics of nightfal weren't Halo fans to be exact...
