Come on, Ninty you don t really want people to buy old 3ds at full price when a successor is coming or you want?...:P

Whoops sorry about that but companies don't always announce when an older sku gets discontinued, sometimes they just silently phase them out. Did Nintendo make a formal announcement when the original DS was discontinued or did they just release DS Lite and stop shipping the older model?

Ya stores will still have unsold ones in stock but Nintendo hasn't shipped any outside of Japan in the previous quarter
