Forums - Gaming - What's the best indie game you have ever played?

Bit Trip Runner 2
Guacamele
Dust
Escape Plan
Bastion
Fez

These are some of the ones I really enjoyed.

I still need to play games like Shovel Knight, Volgarr the Viking, Gone Home, and Brothers. I have several of them in my Steam collection.

Volgarr the Viking is extremly hard. I backed the game at Kickstarter but I didn't even manage to pass the very first Level yet. I couldn't believe how much of my skill went lost in the last years but now I know. If you are a pro at Ghouls n'Goblings then it is the perfect game for you. If not, it will probably suck hard

It's a about a 3-way tie between Guacamelee, Mark of the Ninja and Bastion for me.

Lube Me Up

Guacameele
transistor
unfinished swan
journey

Shovel Knight its freaking amazing!

Same here, TBOI was my favorite indie game in history. Rebirth changed that.

Uhm.. Why? It's a good remake, isn't it?

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

Minecraft

Someone just had to be that guy.

I was guessing I would get a negative reply to this, but I'm just being honest. Subjectively speaking, I put over 200 hours into this game, created beautiful things, and had tons of fun, and yes, I played it BEFORE it was cool (I'm also gonna be that guy lol). Objectively speaking it's the 3rd best selling game of all time, and it incredibly highly rated. Minecraft is objectively the best indie title.

Haven't played many but I have to say minecraft. 2nd is probably space station 13 :)

Touhou (can't decide which)
