Forums - Microsoft - Xbox ONE for $199 at Best Buy (trade in offer)

Its a good deal for those that want to get rid of their old consoles.  I still have a lot of games on my backlog for my 360 and wanna keep it.

Why not go ahead and trade your 360 and buy another one later for under $100?

Seems like there is a price war to attract ONE buyer

Ok this is getting ridiculous. At this rate they might as well start giving them away for free. I can't imagine why anyone that owns a PS360 won't jump on this.

Because it isn't a PS4.

Yep, I saw this. The Microsoft Store deal is better if you have an older console to trade in. They gave me $100 trade-in for a 1st model Xbox 360.

Best-buy will go up to $150 but it has to be a newer 250GB model. When I asked how much they would give me for my old 360, they offered just $10 and wouldn't honor the $50 for "any working Xbox 360".

That's great value for 7th gen consoles.  Xbox One on the other hand is a very rapidly depreciating product.

Hell at this rate Xbox one will be $99 next year.

I think it is safe to say that November will be a VERY big test as to how much trouble the Xbox One is in. If MS can't win the NPD in the US this month, then quite honestly I don't think anything will make them win.

1 Week from now: "100 bucks if you trade in a PS4 for an X1+Game. That's $100 we give to you, folks!"

This did come to mind.  I remember getting a used Gamecube for $50 only a couple years after it came out.

The 360 I have now is the same one I've had for 7 years, I'd rather keep it.  I'm right in the middle of a few games and would rather not stop playing them then pick them up in a few years and forget everything.

Also rebuying a 360 later for $100 kinda makes this not worth it, I'd rather just wait for the X1 to drop in price, which it probably will next year when the PS4 does.
