Wow this just proves to doubters that Bayonetta 2 may be something special. Granted it didn't sell as much as many on their first weeks, but I don't recall any Wii U game ever being the number one game when it launched (not even Mario Kart 8: WD beat it) wow impressive numbers from Bayo 2 I guess I'm happy

Those numbers were not impressive at all. The game deserves more sales given how good the reception has been. Hopefully it will cross the 1mil mark someday.

Its nearest competition in the West on other platforms was Samurai Warriors 4.

200k in the first 2 days is pretty good, imo.

A game's position in the charts doesn't mean much without context. MK8 being in 2nd with 1.1m sales is an awful lot more impressive than B2 in 1st with 200k :p

B2 did do pretty well though, more than many expected at least. Hopefully it doesn't drop off a cliff.

Nothing came out the same week and it still barely beat Evil within on the PS$ alone on it's 2nd week. Not impressed.
