Welp, looks like a clean November win for X1 after all.

Based of waht, amazon.

ouya must rule canada with a iron hockey stick them.  Poor Ps4 and X1.

Yes, the same Amazon that predicted every monthly win for the PS4 correctly.

But I guess now that the X1 is on top it suddenly isn't credible anymore.

Might want to look at amazon rankings and NDp differencials, amazon is far from a prediction.  It was never overly credable, and we all go of ndp numbers with a rare special exception that argue pro vgc lol to suit their X1 sales dreams.

Do I really have to do this? No I don't. Look it up yourself.

Amazon monthly ratings predicted the correct winner of each month since last November. Even the month where X1 won. 12 correct samples in a row is not enough for you?

Amazon has definitely been exceptional about placing the console leaders.

Still, if the Amazon data seems accurate (eg : GTAV Bundle > AC Bundle > Random PS4s > Random X1s) is accurate as a normal sales order going forward, then PS4 will win December easily.

I'm thinking narrow victory for X1 in November, and moderate victory for PS4 in December. Overall wash for Nov/Dec gap-wise.

The thing is though, why would the sales ratios go back to normal in December? The X1 price cut is still in effect and if they manage to keep up the supply I don't see much reason why December should play out differently from November.

Unless of course everyone who wanted an X1 in US already has one by now.

Guys Amazon doesn't "predict" the winner, it shows what sold the most for that month in Amazon, which has been the same as NPD for the past year, so while it isn't the whole market, it does show a glimpse of what is more in demand for that month, so it is a reliable thing to go by, just because Xbox One will win this month in Amazon doesn't make it any less credible. All Sony fans were gloating how PS4 kept on winning there, so why change now?

Well, what I'm saying is that according to Amazon, when both were available (PS4 GTAV and X1 ACU), the PS4 was selling more.

How long can it keep that up? Who knows, it ran out of stock too fast to know for sure.

Stock should be replenished soon, then we'll know :)

I don't believe that the GTA bundle sold much faster than ACU. At least not based on Amazon hourly charts. X1 bundle was available earlier and naturally had its sales spike earlier. Then PS4 came in and had its spike. Now the sales die off a bit and X1 reclaims the throne. So you cannot accurately predict which sold more the last couple of days. Simply because there was no comparison of how fast X1 sold before.

We will have a better chart when the weekly rankings hit tomorrow.

Not denying that, just pointing out the sales ratio on PS4 "win" months were not inline with amazon rankings.

While for Nov Its X1 PS4 PS4 X1 PS4 X1 on the rankings.  To an open logical mind amazon rankings really dont say much on who will get the ndp "win" for Nov.  its no where near as cut and dry as it was for other months.

To put it bluntly, based of Amazon Nov rankings we know shit all who will "win" november.

No one gives a shit about exact ratios. It's about trends. Amazon is showing the trends. Amazon has been showing the trends correctly for a year.

Yes, this time around there are multiple bundles which makes it more wonky but as a general rule(with any sales charts) we can assume that the higher the rankings, the bigger the absolute difference between them. So far we have X1 at #3 and PS4 at #17 and #20. It's not a stretch to assume that even both PS4s combined will not easily match the X1 on #3.

Ehh, the GTAV bundle only dropped from #1 when it sold out, so we can't say that the spike is over.

It already stagnated before that. But yes, we can't say anything about the ratios from the hourly charts. Tomorrow we will have the absolute rankings for the whole weak and it will paint a much clearer picture.
