Forums - Nintendo - Mario Maker confirmed 2nd half 2015?

Watchdogs ignored beacuse why not lol.

I don't think they have much to show from Mario Maker, expect that coming 1st half and trailers in next Direct.

If you're using a question mark, then it's not confirmed. ;)

No, Kirby was clearly mentioned as second half 2015. That's more than a little infurirating and a downer for European fans. It's not as if Kirby is a localisation heavy title, there's no way it should be four, five or six months behind the North American release.

Damn it must suck to be a Nintendo fan in Europe.

Well, most of the time it's not too bad, but this is baffling. I don't mind waiting for dialogue heavy titles like Animal Crossing or Fire Emblem, but holding back Kirby by at least five months, when development must be wrapping up soon? It's insulting. It's not as if Wii U's first half is crowded with titles or content. It's not as if Wii U is selling well enough in Europe, or has a strong enough reputation, for Nintendo to hold back finished content. My major worry here is that Nintendo Europe know another first party title isn't making it to Europe in 2015, and my money would be on Xenoblade Chronicles X.

If Nintendo can localise and launch their heavy hitters within the same month or week, there's no reason why a title like Kirby should take months longer to come to Europe.

I doubt. Kirby is coming in February for NA, but for Europe in the second half of 2015. Maybe we geht Yoshi in first Half and NA in second half? I think they saved these two titles (and others) for a January Direct, BECAUSE they are coming in the first half of 2015. Anyway, next year we get MUCH more exclusives .. I am happy about it. :)

Was that in the American Direct?

It wasn't in the European?

I thought it was Q2 2015, think I have to rewatch the Direct then

Oh, and it's called Kirby and and the Rainbow Paintbrush over here

About Mario Maker: I just think they had nothing new to show or tell, so they ignored the title for this Direct

Wait, America gets Kirby in FEBRUARY? 0_0

What excuse can there possibly be for what looks to be at least a 5 month delay for PAL?

Meh, who really knows at this point. Where is Yoshi at?

Also anyone else wince when they said they are ''targeting a 2015'' release for X. I wasn't worried about Zelda until I heard that...

Always expect delays with 8th gen Nintendo, then you won't be as hurt when they inevitably happen.

Its cool with me; when I get my wii U this december I'll have a nice backlog to get through including some wii games that I skipped (skyward sword, galaxy 2)... But its paints a picture that I feared/initially predicted: Zelda Wii U is more likely to be a system swan song then a system seller

Just taken from siliconera. So Its just localisation which is taking its time, development is near an end.

''Xenoblade Chronicles X will release in Japan sometime in Spring 2015 for Wii U. A 2015 release is being targeted for North America and Europe as well.
