There is no way they announce the New 3ds release date.

More info on....

Smash DLC

Mario Kart 8 DLC

Splatoon

Captain Toad

Pokemon

I dont expect anything for Zelda U. The biggest surprise may be the extent of the progress Splatoon made graphically and gameplay wise. We shall see.

Things that are a given:
- MK8 and HW DLC for November info, possibly one of them released this week
- Smash Bros video (almost a given that DHD intro will be shown)
- Pokemon ORAS info
- Captain Toad/Sonic Boom/Watch_Dogs
- Amiibos mentioned

Highly likely or Likely+Anticipated:
- Pokemon ORAS to play all in 3D when played on New3DS
- Smash Bros DLC info beyond Mewtwo (even if just confirmation that more will be coming)
- Info on use of Amiibos in MK8 and Captain Toad, possibly also HW
- Info on Splatoon/Yoshi's Woolly World/Mario Maker
- At least one "new" announcement
- 3DS themes for rest of year

Things I'd love to hear/see (somewhat plausible individually, definitely not all happening):
- Announcement of a big-name remake (Majora's Mask, Galaxy/Sunshine, or other such remakes)
- Second Zelda teaser trailer (perhaps showing off Zelda herself, or one of the other inhabitants, with a hint of the "theme" of the game)
- Animal Crossing U revealed
- Partnership with multiple developers for big-name exclusives (not necessarily shown off)
 - Return of an older franchise (F-Zero, Ice Climbers, Earthbound, 1080, Wave Race EDIT: or Murasame Castle)
- Watch_Dogs U having extra features/content (OK, this is probably the least plausible)

Pie-In-The-Sky:
- Nintendo starting/acquiring a new series of studios in the west, including one headed by Warren Spector, one headed by the recently-unemployed Jade Raymond, as well as purchases of High Voltage Software (for their engines), to name a few.
- Nintendo revealed to be the company working with Euclideon, first game to be available early 2015, demo available in December, game looks incredibly detailed.
- Nintendo does big deal with major publisher, all of their games will be exclusive for remainder of the generation*.
- Hyrule Warriors 2 confirmed to have started development, due to the resounding success of the first game. To be bigger in scope, incorporate more elements of classic Zelda (eg/ open world elements).

* I don't want exclusivity for the "keeping those with other consoles from getting them" angle, but from the "if it's their only source of revenue for the next few years, they've got to make a real effort on the Nintendo platforms" angle. I'm fed up with half-arsed ports.

Looks like X will definitely be shown tomorrow. The wife of X director tweeted about this direct and everytime she tweeted about a Nintendo direct in the past, X was shown. Hopefully we get a release date!

Man, dont hype me like that. You will give me a heart attack. I get super excited with the prospect of finally playing Xenoblade X. I was already convinced that it wouldnt come our before the fall of next year.

Soraya Saga retweeted. Xenoblade confirmed.

^ I really want to see Splatoon's single player mode!

Also, there are 4 games planned for the first half of 2015: Mario Maker, Yoshi, Splatoon and Project Giant Robot.
That leaves us 2 months without anything.

Wasn't there a french dude that said Nintendo was preparing a big remaster and 1 game per month for Wii U?
He predicted correctly that Devil's Third would be a Wii U title and also predicted Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
We might get a few surprises in this ND!

We may get a Starfox trailer. *fingers crossed*

Not one person here mentioned Splatoon. Am I the only one excited for it?

It is my most anticipated game but i don't want to get too hyped and be disappointed later. Still more than half a year away too. Would be nice to see more.

Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshi's Wolly World
Splatoon
Kirby's Rainbow Curse
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
Metroid 3DS
N64 Virtual Console

Nice, Iwata seems to be healthy enough to do an international Direct.

So, it's basically confirmed that Xenoblade Chronicles X will be shown, but does it mean that it will get released in spring 2015? I guess not.

Still hoping for a Smash bundle.

I bet that Watch_Dogs won't be shown (the actual Wii U version). I'll buy it at launch if I lose (and waste money).
