Forums - Nintendo - New Nintendo Direct November 5

I thought they only labelled it "first half of 2015", then promptly failed to mention it in this Direct.

Its "first half" officially, but it won't be Q2 unless they overstack the quarter with Yoshi, Splatoon, and the Japanese launch of X.

Don't take things literally! I guess there are never enough Rainbows in Mario Kart.

Uh yeah you are supposed to take everything literally unless given a reason otherwise! Anywho, what those other unveiled tracks are I couldn't tell at first glance. That China looking one is definitely the last Nitro, so the other two must be Retros.

The Chinese one didn't look that exciting. But what other two? I only remember one additional ice one.

Well they showed exactly 5 seconds of it, but it still looks great after frame by framing it. Reminds me of Chu'nan from Sonic Unleashed. Hopefully it's music is just as good! And my bad, the Ice one is the only one since we of course know about Wario's Gold Mine, Yoshi Circuit, and SNES Rainbow.

Can anyone give me a link to a replay of the direct please? I missed it.

I hope you're right, I'm bracing myself for another barren Q1-Q2.

Wow, if you are going to put on such a panic show at least give me a chance to grab my popcorn!

Seriously, this was a 33min direct whose primary purpose was obviously to promote the holidays/early spring while also putting in a good word for the new/young IPs that people are *always* pestering them about.

They want people thinking about Mario Kart 8, Amiibo, Smash, and Captain Toad right now. You know, their holiday lineup? I seriously doubt the software droughts will be as bad as this year. Not that that will stop the panic.

Only thing good for me was majoras mask 3D and I already own that, get with the damn program nintendo
o well no wii u for me ^-^

Expectations kept in check equals expectations met. Splatoon single player is looking great (sad that someone is trolling the title in this thread for who knows what reason). Captain Toad continues to impress, but I'm sure I'll wait until next year sometime to get it. It's more of a cash flow problem than a lack of interest. Between buying MK8 DLC, SBU and a few Amiibo, and who knows what indie games/VC games pop up, I can't really justify another $50-$60. So if there is a drought in 2015, I'll welcome it. Still need to catch up as it is.

Toad is $40, no?

Yeah...I'm pretty sure you're right...but I forgot.  Still not sure it will sway me.  So many bills...lol. If I buy too many Xmas gifts for myself I won't be able to get anyone else anything.  Then I'll really feel like a jerk while I'm playing my WiiU.  Thta's never a nice feeling.

i am excited for majora mask, but i think we wont get any new zelda U info until majora mask released :(

Too many titles not accounted for in Q1 are slotted as "Spring" which is Q1/Q2 or "first half".

It's very much looking like 1 game/month except the dead months where Nintendo never releases: Jan, June.
