Just saying. |
X1 used to be 90 % of all PS4 sales now it's 91 %
That means the gap went form 10 % to 9 %.

Do you honestly believe the gap isn't getting any bigger or are you just trying to earn more points?
The PS5 Exists.

That was my last post (well this is now LOL). This guy is just incapable of admitting he's wrong and I'm now waiting for the 'just trolling' post.

Numbers don't lie.
Do the math for yourself if you don't believe me.

What you fail to express is that you are talking about gap growth.
The GROWTH in gap is decreasing. The gap numbers in total units is increasing, but the rate by which the gap is growing is decreasing.
It's a simple concept. However, after Bloodborne week, even that gap growth you are talking about will be out the window.

So, to you, the fact that the gap is still increasing, but at a slower rate, is the same as the gap not increasing? That is some creative logic if I ever heard one. In order for the gap to decrease, the X1 would actually have to sell more than the PS4 on a monthly basis.
The PS4 is still outselling the X1 in the US monthly, just by not as much as it used to. The gap is in fact getting bigger every month, as the X1 will now need to outsell the PS4 by an even larger margin in the future in order to match the overall sales of the PS4.

Growth rate of gap =/= Size of gap
You're saying that the growth rate of the gap is decreasing, but the problem is that that statement is based on VGC numbers. The site has been a month behind and always makes adjustments, so there's no point in using those numbers especially when NPD results are coming tomorrow. Considering that Bloodborne has been a huge hit, I would say that not only is the gap growing, but the growth rate is increasing, too.
Going off of BHR-3's signature, the XBO's US sales are 90.6% of the PS4's US sales. It is likely that the percentage will fall below 90%, meaning that you will have failed in your prediction even with the goalpost moving.
