Sadly no. I made the mistake of being excited for Sonic Lost World, so I'm pretty much ignoring this unless it actually gets decent reviews.

the best sonic game I played in 20 years or so was Racing Transformed. So my expectations are pretty low.


But since the best part of Sonic Lost World was the Zelda DLC because it somewhat offered slower speed (at least partially) and offered exploration and the new game also does it (but his time its the whole games focus)
I am still somewhat interested . I will wait for a demo/reviews etc and then probably pick it up for cheap.

Im interested but far from excited. I predict the average review score will be either a 6 or a 7

I'm somewhat optimistic, for one simple reason: there isn't an overwhelming hype surrounding it. Sega seems to be expecting it to sell on its own merits, rather than hyping it to heaven with misdirection and attempts to sell it as "the game to revive the Sonic franchise"... and yet, they're also not hiding anything and are clearly still trying to sell the game to people. So it's neither a case of trying to pull the wool over the customer's eyes nor of sending it out to die.

i have never been interest in sonic games before. But this time, they are really trying to change the play style of the series.. it somehow reminds me of Ratchet and Clank. If the review is good, i might get them
