Exactly my point tho, she is ranting and raving because people are listening to her as tho Princess's peach's role in certain mario games is hurting people. In Islam people are tortured and killed for being women... there is no profit to be made there by going against it so she just focus's on absolutely non issues, bangs the drum so hard people think there is something there tho, tis pathetic really.

I've always wondered why people say that.  It's obviously not true.  Feminist organizations don't give a rat's ass about "equal rights between the sexes".  That people believe otherwise genuinely puzzles me.  I've seen zero indication that feminist groups care about boys falling behind in all phases of learning, for example, while I still see efforts to help girls in math and science.

If you can prove otherwise, go ahead, but until then, all I've seen is that feminism is about advancing the position of women, not about equality.

You do realize that when there is imbalance you need to add more weight to the lighter side first to bring back balance. Why would someone trying to acheive balance add weight to both sides? All that would do is just add more weight but the balance would still be off. If there are two hungry individuals and you have a loaf of bread to give them, one already has a loaf of bread how would you distribute the bread? I consider myself a feminist and I am male so what am I an oxymoron? Do I advocate my own downfall and subjecation?

Anyway his post said feminism is garbage not that feminist organizations are garbage. Feminism discribes an ideal or movement not a predetermined set of steps to acheive such goals but certain organizatons do that and that is where the disagreement usually lies with most people. Attacking feminism as a whole is a fallacy.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter if there are people who think feminism is about balance.  The reality is, in practice, it's about advancing the position of women, period.  In your example, it's weight being placed on only one side, with zero consideration given to the other.  Balance will never, ever be achieved that way.  I cited boys being left behind in school--where is the counter-balancing?  Where is feminism fighting for equality?  What are you telling me, that feminists believe boys should receive equal support and resources but, well, they have more important things to do, like liberate female video-game characters?

No, I've seen nothing which leads me to believe feminism is about balance.  I believe in equality, which is why I'm not a feminist.
