Zelda's system selling potential got watered down when Wind Waker HD and Hyrule Warriors released but it gets more watered down cause Nintendo opted out for not a very fond art style. Star Fox has lost a lot of it's popularity so it's nowhere near as strong as you think it is. Mario Maker will sell tons of more WII U's when three other mario games are already out there on the WII U ? Kirby ?! LOL, that franchise is getting more irrelevant with each passing day and the same goes for Yoshi ... What favours are these games going to do for the WII U when they have some troubles selling 1 million units on a bigger install base ? |
You heard it here folks, an HD rerelease waters down a series' sales two years later. Halo 5 DOOMED.
The series like Star Fox and F-Zero don't need to be CoD sized successes to help the Wii U. Appeal to the fans that remember and haven't bought in yet. They need variety, name recognition, and to pull from a audience outside of Mario.
