Yeah, Halo appeals to the dudebros and thus has a bigger market, but that doesn't change the fact your argument is asspulled garbage. Besides, the series has been on the decline, changed devs, lost its title as biggest FPS game, and is on a less popular system. Do you think Halo 5 is going to be the best in the series, or even better than Halo 4? Don't confuse a series inactivity for lack of interest. F-Zero and Star Fox are solid names, will likely sell ~1mil each, and thanks to Nintendo's recent Q&A will probably be cheap and quick to make without sacrificing much quality. They're low risk investments that represent an audience that hasn't been tapped into too much. How many Futuristic Arcade racers are there this gen? Space based rail shooters that appeal to furries? Must be tapped out by those similar games on PS4 and XB1 right? If only there were some way to generate more interest in these titles as well...Like putting the faces of their respective franchises in Smash, the biggest game of its genre and the largest fighting game to date. Or including areas inspired by them into Mario Kart 8, currently the best selling racing game of the generation and traditionally an important franchise. It's a shame nobody thought of that... |
Yes, I do believe the system selling power of the next Zelda will be reduced cause the HD rerelease along with a spin-off shows us that a minimum of 1 million Zelda fans are on there and to make things worse it's in an art style that less people like so deal with it ...
I don't think Halo 5 will be best in the series but it's still gonna be a big game that will go on to sell 8+ million copies compared to Zelda ...
There's a good reason why those games aren't being made anymore by Nintendo so there likely is no worthwhile audience for them anymore. FYI the remake of the best Star Fox in the series couldn't even sell a million copies ...
