Forums - Sony - SONY FY14 Q2: Results $1.2bn loss. 3.3m ps4 shipped.

Based on what I am seeing, the good news is is that their revenues are up, meaning that the company is growing. The bad news is that the fact that they are still posting losses even with a weak yen shows that they are up shit creek without a paddle. Sony is essentially like pre 2007 General Motors at this time.

anyhow. if we say 1.3m or so in supply, its undertracked like xbox one.

1.3m in supply make it 700k undertracked.

VGC and shipment difference is 2 million.

Has Sony annouced any road maps to better financial health? How are they expecting to make money

According to a lot of people in the Nintendo Shipment thread Shipments is equal to sold so if they argue that for the Wii U then they will also be arguing this for the PS4, won't they people .... people ... back me up on this.

The new data shows how PS4 was supply constrained until mid of the year.

End Dec: 4.5m shipped / 4.2m sold
End Mar: 7.5m shipped / 7m sold

Great ps4 numbers. But ouch... 1.1B$ loss. That's yet another massive loss. Hopefully they get back in the black this holiday.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

Any figures on the financial results of Sony gaming department separately? Just for some comparing...
